3G-SDI Splitter 1 in 4 out allows four (4) SDI monitors to be connected to one (1) SDI (Serial Digital Interface) source signal. Split one SD-SDI (standard def), HD-SDI (high def) or 3G-SDI (3G) signal into four equalised and reclocked signals for connection to four 3G-SDI monitors. The operating speeds for the 3G-SDI Splitter 1 in 4 out are 2.970Gb/s and 2.970/1.001Gb/s, 1.485Gb/s and 1.485/1.001Gb/s, 270Mb/s with transmission distances up to 100m for 3G-SDI, 200m for HD-SDI and 300m for SD-SDI. The 3G-SDI Splitter 1 in 4 out gives full support for SMPTE 425M (Level A and Level B), SMPTE 424M, SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 259M-C signalling. SDI is a serial link originally standardized by SMPTE 259M. It is used to transmit uncompressed digital video over coaxial cable and has a maximum data rate of 360Mb/s. HD-SDI is the second-generation version of SDI and allows transmission of HD (1080i and 720p) signals over the same cables as SD-SDI. It handles rates up to 1.485Gb/s. 3G-SDI is the latest version of SDI and allows transmission of 1080p60 HD signals (with a 4:2:2 sampling structure at 10 bits per sample) over a single coax cable. Defined by SMPTE 424M, the single-link studio interface can reach a maximum bit rate of 2.97Gb/s.
