4k2k HDMI EDID Emulator is designed to allow adjustment of an HDMI or DVI display's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information. This is the information provided to the source device (eg DVD player or Set Top Box) so that the best video and audio signal can be automatically selected for display. It also supports EDID Emulation and By-pass Modes.

The 4k2k HDMI EDID Emulator aims to simplify the technical complications involved with Video/Audio system integration of Home Theatre installations and with testing and experimentation using electronic video and audio equipment. The 4k2k HDMI EDID Emulator can 'read' and 'write' an equipments EDID with simple button opertion and a PC software program allows for the storage and retrieval of collected EDID information.
