A 4K UHD+ HDMI/DP over Fiber (10GbE) Transceiver is designed to operate as either the Transmitter or the Receiver when used with optical fibre transmission networks.

Long distance transmission of video, voice and data up to distance of 30km (thirty kilometers) in one single link is the path into the future of communications. The cost benefit of fibre cable when compared to copper wire and the further expansion of video and audio broadband capacity makes optical fibre the preferred carrier medium.

With high quality design and true operating reliability, the 4K UHD+ HDMI/DP over Fiber (10GbE) Transceiver is ideal for use as a low-cost transmission portal. Configure as required for transmitter or receiver functionality, the system can then be fine-tuned using front panel buttons, IR, RS-232 or Ethernet command protocols.

Once operating parameters are set, the 4K UHD+ HDMI/DP over Fiber (10GbE) Transceiver will transmit and receive advanced 4K HDMI content such as High Dynamic Range (HDR), 10-bit colour video and multi-channel HD Bitstream audio, all in pass-through mode. The control and data information is also transmitted as part of the sophisticated, ultra-light, mostly lossless compression scheme.

Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus modules (SFP+) are available and depending on the transmission distance, are field-interchangeable and serviceable. When combined with the optional control center or control software, the functionality of the 4K UHD+ HDMI/DP over Fiber (10GbE) Transceiver expands exponentially.

Multiple Transceivers may be combined with one or more 10-Gigabit fiber Ethernet switches and the switches can then be used  together to form a distributed video matrix, a multi-viewer system or a Video Wall system, adding flexibility to installations. In-built EDID and HDCP management protocols ensure the smooth integration of network functions for enhanced setup and added control of system functionality.
