4K HDMI 4 Way Splitter

  • 30th May, 2017

The new 4K HDMI 4 Way Splitter is designed to support the replication of an Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K video and audio signal into four separate, but equal, UHD 4K video and audio signals.

The four new 4K video signals are exactly the same as the original UHD 4K video signal and support up to 3840×2160 & 4096x2160@60Hz(YUV4:2:0,8 bit) of resolution. The audio stream formats supported by the 4K HDMI 4 Way Splitter include LPCM 2CH up to 7.1CH with audio sampling rates up to 192kHz, plus Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos, plus DTS-HD Master Audio.

Extra features of the 4K HDMI 4 Way Splitter include switches for in-built EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) control and CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) System Reset functionality. The EDID and SYS-RST functions enhance the way in which the video signal is ultimately displayed via the splitter to the TV.

The EDID switch selects either the attached display's EDID information ("TV"), or the default EDID stored in the splitter ("STD"), to pass back the source device. Operating the CEC SYS-RST switch ensures at regular intervals that each attached TV displays the correct channel, even if the TV's channel was changed.

The 4K HDMI 4 Way Splitter is compact in design, with a sturdy black-metal body. Input and outputs on the back panel are easily accessed and clearly labelled. Soft green LED lamps on the front panel indicate the status of the input and output ports, while a soft blue LED lamp indicates when power is active. Power from a +5vDC power supply ensures economical and low cost operation under maximum load.
