17 inch LCD Touchscreen CGA EGA VGA open frame LCD panel which can accept a wide range of RGB inputs of CGA, EGA, VGA to SXGA. Touchscreen LCD monitors allow the user to control their computer/equipment by touching the screen, rather than by using a mouse. It is suitable for integration into information displays, kiosk systems, point of sale systems, gaming machines, and industrial equipment.
Examples of use can include retro-fit of CNC machinery, gaming machines, arcade machines, or other industrial equipment. Unlike many other touch screens on the market, this touchscreen can accept a full range of CGA, EGA and VGA signals, making it a great choice to update old and superceded monitors with the latest in touch technology.
Touch screens are also ideal for use in public spaces, where using a keyboard/mouse could result in the equipment getting stolen or damaged, or where keyboard/mouse use is otherwise impractical. Our Industrial style open frame touch screen monitors can easily be built into custom cases so that only the screen can be seen.
The LCD panel has a range of features which makes installing and operating the unit very simple and efficient. The VESA plug & play system allows the monitor to automatically adjust itself to the match the frequency of the user's device. Also includes a self test function which will check to ensure all functions of the monitor are working properly. For users connecting this model to a computer it uses Display Data Channel (DDC) to send Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) to the computer, so the computer system can be set to monitor auto adjust.
To ensure maximum compatibility with input signals, it has more timing data and resolutions than other LCD panel. The current resolution and timing information for the connected input device is displayed in the top bar of the OSD (On Screen Display) menu. As well as image repositioning, the LCD Panel also has the all important "crush" feature which allows you to shrink the size of the image both horizontal and vertically to make the image fit on the screen. The easy to understand and clear graphics of the OSD menu make it simple to make any changes necessary. The OSD menu is available in a number of different languages - English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Chinese.
