The CIP-2 PIP function of this unit allows two external video inputs to be streamed to a single output for connection to a TV monitor. The Picture In Picture format allows for preference as to which video input is displayed on the main screen or in the PIP mode. Equipment such as videoplayers, satellite receivers and security camera systems can be co-displayed.
This unit is very simple and easy to setup. It is compact and light weight. It has a modern chrome front panel with a sturdy black metal chassis cover. All Function Buttons, Input/Output AV sockets and Power LED are clearly labelled and accessible.
Video and Stereo AV sockets are the connection points mounted on the rear of the chassis for input and output devices, while the front panel is clearly laid out for the Power Display LED, the "PIPON", "Position", "Size", "Still" and "Swap" function buttons.
A "Headphone" socket gives a stereo output for the PIP function so that you may listen to that while the main screen is active.
BASIC WORKING PRINCIPLE:
PLEASE NOTE: There is no memory capability for this unit so preference settings must be input again at Power-up.
On Power-up, the Unit uses in-built Default settings for initial configuration of the PIP function. The default video/audio input for the Main screen is V1, R1, L1. The PIP screen video/audio input is V2, R2, L2.
The output V, R, L is fed to the output monitors' video / audio AV input sockets.
The Audio is replayed using the monitors audio speakers and will sound what is playing on the Main screen. If you swap the PIP input to the Main screen then you will hear its audio through the monitors audio speakers. The Headphone socket is the audio output for the PIP function.
