PAL NTSC Video to HDMI v1.3 HD Scaler Box is designed to upscale an analog video signal (Composite Video or S-Video), to a High Definition HDMI output. This allows you to watch your analog video content on your HDTV with a greater range of resolutions (up to 1080p).
The unit provides an excellent way to upscale low resolution video content to High Definition resolutions via HDMI cable. It recognises Video systems of PAL and NTSC for conversion to Digital High Definition 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p (dependant on display used). Output signal timing is same as input signal timing ie PAL in = 50Hz resolution timing out; NTSC in = 60Hz resolution timing out. Does not support 50/60Hz conversion.
The unit is perfect for those who are after a simple way to view their Composite Video/S-Video sources on their HDTV with better image quality. eg, You may have a Standard Definition DVD Player or Set-Top box that you connect to your HDTV via a Composite Video cable, but would like to connect it via HDMI cable. Using this unit will allow you to improve the output resolution for display on your TV, leading to better image quality.
The unit also handles your audio connection, taking a L/R Audio Input and Outputting audio via HDMI. |
