HDMI Power Inserter
The new HDMI Power Inserter tool is designed to increase the power supplied to an HDMI video and audio signal, increasing the effectiveness of HDMI cable to a distance greater than 3, 4 or 5 metres. With the ability to provide power to both the input and output sides of the HDMI cables, the total HDMI cable distance achieved at 8-bit Colour is 16m (8/8) and for 12-bit Colour is 10m (5/5). Now extend your signal between rooms or between floors by cascading a number of HDMI Power Inserters with HDMI cables to maximise the HDMI cable's transmission distance by up to 35m (3 cascades).
Many of today's Video playback products output High Definition (HD) 1080p or Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K2K as the standard signal. This high resolution video and audio signal is highly susceptible to loss of signal strength and quality over very short cable distances. Standard Definition (SD) timings like 480i/p and 576i/p will travel much further due to being a much lower resolution signal. The HDMI Power Inserter will enhance SD, HD and UHD signals over a run of HDMI cables by increasing the signal strength when the signal is starting to weaken and loose quality.
HDMI SD, HD and UHD video and audio signals react differently over cabled wire-pairs and the electrical problems of signal attenuation and crosstalk in a cable can over-run a video signal in a very short distance. The quality of HDMI cable is extremely important, ensuring that the proper electrical isolation between cable pairs greatly reduces the effects of signal attenuation and crosstalk. The HDMI Power Inserter, when placed in the right position on the cable run, can easily fix situations where either the distance is too great or the cable is not of very high quality.
